Congratulations to the JV Warriors for their game 1 win on Saturday morning versus Greene.  8th grade QB Dylan Jacob connected with Jake Beach on a 20 yard passplay for the first score.  Brennan DelBaso tacked on 2 pts with the extra point run.  Gavin Griffin then kicked off and put the Trojans deep near their goal line.  Walton's defense held and Greene had to punt.  The Warriors scored again when Bailey Wood punched it in from 4 yards out.   DelBaso tacked on 2 pts again with the extra point run.  Greene then scored on a long run by their QB and tacked on the 2 pt. conversion.  On the next drive, Delbaso rattled off a 55 yard run for the TD.  Bailey would ran in for the 2 pt conversion putting the Junior Warriors up 24-8 at the half. Both teams moved the ball and had turn overs in the second half until Beach added on 6 more points with a 20 yard run.  The conversion was no good making the final score 30-8.  The warrior defense was tough throughout the game only allowing a few first downs and the offensive line played very well.  The warriros next game is at Unatego on Monday September 21st.  Game time is 4:30.
